Old Town Hall Restoration Project Fund $60,000

The Museum has leased the Old Town Hall for extra space and programming. Please help us restore the building that has served the Town of Millston for over 140 years. The inside needs a new ceiling, electrical, drywall, trim, flooring repair, hvac and other upgrades. It is going to take major funding to get this done.

Specifically our displays offer insight into the lives, businesses and way of life of the pioneers that settled the Millston, Knapp, Shamrock and Manchester areas. The Museum houses several family albums, photos and family histories of the area as well as a resource library for the outlying areas and their cemeteries. All artifacts on display in the museum are specific to the area and have been collected and donated by local families over the last 30 years. We have tax and assessment records and school district records for Millston and Knapp Townships that start when the Townships were created.

    • We have on loan from the Lee and Judy Arity family of Tomah a miniature replica of the McKenna and Goodyear Logging Camp carefully crafted by Preston Arity. Each building can be opened and viewed and no details were spared. It is a great learning tool for those interested in the lumber camps.
